Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?

mindy kaling I spent the weekend reading Mindy Kaling’s new book, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns). I was very excited to read this because I conveniently just finished her entire season of The Mindy Project. Not that I was obsessed, but I was. I needed to find another way to get more Mindy, without mindlessly re-watching episodes on HuluPlus (Is it really that bad?). I went to Barnes and Nobel to return a journal that I would never write in. I had just had my eyes dilated and I could see nothing. They wouldn’t give me cash back, and so obviously Mindy popped into my mind! I said “Well get me Mindy’s book then.” After another 6 hours when my eyes were finally done dilating I picked up the book and read… I can say that I feel like a funnier person because of her. The book was great. I was impressed with her prior to reading, but now consider her a wonderful role model. Most celebrities do not have the same views as her when it comes to the infamous one night stands and marriage. She does not want to live her life flippantly, but wants the fairy tale life, and frankly that is what I know she will get. Her book is written in different segments explaining many aspects of her life. I learned a lot about how boys only need two pairs of shoes, which take an extensive amount of time to tie. I won’t give away too much more, but I will say she does put in quite a few baby pictures that could rival some of Awkward Family photos. Read it and let me know what you think!
