This book deserves 5 out of 5 solid birds from me. It was beautiful. Delia painted amazing scenery in my mind, there were times I actually thought I was in the marsh- except it was just my kids splashing me while they were bathing. I loved Kya and wanted to take her under my wing. She became a real person to me. The book had me hooked from beginning to end and I will probably still be thinking about it for some time. If you read a book this year, this could definitely be it. Also…. That ending… I mean I saw it coming, but I’m super glad it ended that way.
