The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row

The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death RowThe Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row by Anthony Ray Hinton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Sun Does Shine by Anthony Ray Hinton (Introduction), Lara Love Hardin, Bryan Stevenson (Foreword)

This book highlights the tragic and inspiring story of Anthony Ray Hinton and it definitely deserves 5 out of 5 birds from me. If you were a fan of Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson- which I highly recommend- then this is a book for you! There were so many times I wanted to throw something across the room because it was clear as day how innocent he was and yet he spent years on death row. I admired his ability to maintain his positive attitude despite his unfair circumstances. I think the saddest chapter was the last one knowing what he had lost- but I will let you read to find out 😉 I’d put this one on your to-read or listen list!
