I give Eleanor Oliphant a solid 5 out of 5 birds. Gail, you nailed it girl. I actually found it quite similar to my last read (The Girl He Used to Know) but Eleanor was awkward because she had a messed up life. People have said this is humorous but it’s not by any means. It’s terribly sad. This is a book that allows you to fall in LOVE with the characters and quickly. You become invested. Like seriously, block out the next few nights so you can read it.

I wanted to jump into the pages and help Eleanor. Her story was captivating and full of twists. At times it was absurd but it fits Miss Oliphant. Can I say her last name? No, I butcher it literally every time.

Raymond is the other major character and he is adorable. I am a sucker for books about people befriending an underdog.

If you haven’t read this book yet, because I’m late to the game on this one. DO IT! Thank you to all of you who encouraged to me to finally pick it up and also thank you to the 173 who had it on hold before me.
