The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman deserves four out of five ghost birds for his novel The Graveyard Book. It was such a UNQIUE storyline and fresh. I thought it was a good starter for horror- since it starts out with murder. Other than that I didn’t feel like it was graphic. It was interesting to read it from a Mother’s perspective. I loved the art throughout the book. Im obsessed with graveyards and headstones so this was my jam. Learning about people beneath the grave from hundreds of years ago was fun for me. This book also had much deeper meaning to it that would be fun to discuss in a book group. Overall I enjoyed it. I took a star off because in some parts it felt slow and a little too sci-fi for me. But I’d recommend it!
