I give this book 5 out of 5 birds. This book references Columbine, and I study the crap out of Columbine. So it definitely went on my to-read list after someone recommended it to me! I loved it. At first Ugly Girl really annoyed me, but over the course of a few chapters I liked her. I could feel the hate that teens have for each other and the the bullying was real. I think it’s a must read for teens to see that their words have power- even if they’re joking or being sarcastic. I think it also brings awareness to mental health and when teens (or any age) begin to spiral out… I think we miss the warning signs a lot.
